Heifer Foundation has the privilege of helping our donors help
themselves and provide for a world in great need. Heifer Foundation is an organization that
builds a bridge connecting the donor’s financial, family and social legacies. The Foundation provides people a variety of planned charitable giving
instruments, such as trusts, annuities and bequests. The exciting part is that
through these instruments we can help you provide for yourself, your loved
ones, and the causes that matter most to you. We work closely with you and your trusted advisors to help you discern which instruments are best suited for your particular situation.
Heifer Foundation then manages, with professional assistance, the funds entrusted to us, growing a base of permanent financial support for the mission of helping needy people around the world become self-reliant through sustainable means. Each year, a percentage of the Foundation’s endowment is made available to where the funds are most needed or to the specific hunger and poverty areas, such as countries and initiatives, the donor has selected. We help the donor reach their financial, estate and charitable goals while simultaneously helping alleviate the global burden of hunger and poverty.

A New Way of Giving
Heifer Foundation’s new approach to philanthropy, Hope Equity® (www.hopeequity.org) is an online community investing in the end of hunger and poverty and caring for the Earth through Micro-Endowments® (ME). The Web site utilizes social networking software and the latest interactive technologies to provide donors with the ability to contribute to charitable causes, track the growth of their charitable investments, and interact globally with individuals, businesses and organizations that share their values and desire for a better world. Hope Equity features an online Community Center where donors can utilize RSS feeds, join Hope Equity blogs, sign up for news reports from the causes in which they are interested, and use widgets to showcase their own ME on blogs, personal Web sites, or other social media.
You may be drawn to a particular culture because of time you invested in that country’s people; you may have spent a summer teaching English to eager schoolchildren in China; or perhaps you traveled to Guatemala with a construction team and spent a week building homes for needy families. It may be a particular cause that you are passionate about, such as at-risk youth, AIDS/HIV education or protecting the Earth’s dwindling resources.
